Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American sportscaster. She works as an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation occasionally. She began working for ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first job in the production department at Univision in Miami and provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. She divorced her parents shortly thereafter and, in 1995, she was married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer and was provided with a job. As a senior in high school but having a clear vision of what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta went to the University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her needs. As it turned out she loved the school and they were offering the major she was looking for. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university with a degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU and WRMU, which she's a part. They had a very close connection. He inspired her to have confidence and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her, and she was determined to live up to his expectations and never let him down.
